JBLスピーカーは新しいフラッグシップが近い将来リリースされるでしょう。
そうなると現行の DD66000 が相場を大幅に下げながら市場にドッと出回りますから、これはJBLの最高峰モデルが更新される度に繰り返されてきた歴史なので、
フルレストアされた260万のＪＢＬ4343という、そんなバカな値付けがされた4343を買う人は一体なにを考えているのでしょうか・・・・・・劣化のないDD66000の中古が余裕で買えるのに。
ホーンスピーカーは２インチドライバー (２インチスロート径) のものと１インチドライバー(１インチスロート径) のものでは根本的にクラスが違うんです。
そのことが分かっておられるから、評論家の朝沼先生も編集者時代に岡先生の自宅で往年の名JBLスピーカーと接する貴重な経験を経て、あの方は地方出身者の方でしたから、クォード・ダルキスト・ジョージアンを使いながら、納得できる環境を手に入れるまでの三十年近い年月を待ちわびて、やっと自分のJBLスピーカーを導入される際には、
「２インチドライバーの搭載モデルにこだわった」
と明確に書かれています。
音の好みなどはあると思うけれども、"格が違う"という言葉がピッタリです。

現代の中心的設計思想とはまったくの真逆の伝統工芸の世界、
温もりのある良質な木材の豊かな響きをそのまま音作りに投影させ、
所謂付帯音 ”箱鳴り”を積極的に生かした音作りをしている。
実際、その音作りは木材の深い響きをふんだんに生かした大変味わい深いもの
作者のフランコ・セルブリンはそんな音楽の芸術を深く愛する国
「陸のヴェネツィア」と呼ばれる北イタリアの町ヴィツェンツァの木工職人
(歯科医師)だ。
このスピーカーで聞く"女性ヴォーカル"は、
他のなにものにも、どのようなものにも例えようがないぐらいの
蠱惑的な音色である。
まさにリスナーの心を虜にする "泣かせる音"がするのである。
他のどんなスピーカーとも比べ物にならないほど女性ヴォーカルは艶やかで色っぽい・・・・・・
ヴァイオリンの弦の響きの音色の、なんという艶やかで瑞々しい響きだろう・・！
まさしく、存在自体が奇跡。
しかしソナースは結局、
エレクタアマトール、
ミニマ、
そして最初のリファレンス ガルネリ・オマージュ
で終わった、と思う。
その後のソナース社は、その素晴らしい美音と
工芸作品と呼んでなんらはばかりない大変美しいスピーカーで
世界的大成功を収めた。
しかし、ソナースもまたその”真実の輝き”を放つ作品は最初期の作品に留まるもの、と思う。
いや、断言する。
仕上げの美しさはさらに増したが、エンクロージュアのつくりは素人目で観てもわかるぐらい簡略化された。
なにより現在は測定器に頼り、"耳"で音決めをしていた時代を忘れてしまったものと思う。
星の数ほどあるハイエンド・オーディオ機器メーカー
(その実態のほとんどは少数の従業員のガレージメーカー)
それらのメーカーの現代のスピーカーの水準平均値は近年本当に高くなっているそれは各社で共通するコンピューターの音響解析ソフトを製作過程で使用するようになったからだ、と言われている。基本的に間違った音は出さず、無難に仕上がるのだろう、だがコンピューターで作ったものは所詮人間が耳で、感性で作ったものには、本質的に遠く及ばない。
データ、測定器などでは決して真の音楽性は掴み取れない
